From tracking calories and restricting certain foods to preparing three different meals so you can satisfy everyone at your dinner table.
And you hate to admit it, but you’re exhausted.
You spend more time wondering “what’s for dinner” than you actually do eating it. And whether you’re cooking for one or your family of ten, you can’t shake the feeling that you’re being too restrictive but you don’t know how to get back on track.
Restrictive eating, purging, binge eating, & body dysmorphia.
You have a lot of rules when it comes to food. You spend a good part of your day stressing out about what you can eat and when. Maybe you're a parent worried that your teen seems distant and not themself. They have started to pick at their food and comment about disliking their body. Whether you or your child are living with disordered eating habits or an active eating disorder, we’ll introduce more autonomy, flexibility, and balance into your relationship with food.
Picky eating, food battles, & concerns about growth & weight.
You knew there wasn’t a manual when it came time to raise your kids, but why didn’t they tell you about how hard it would be to feed them?! You don’t want to force your child to eat, but you know that if you don’t prepare exactly what they’re craving, they just won’t eat at all. You want a way to satisfy your entire family at dinner — including your picky eater.
Or maybe you are worried that your child seems to never get full. They are always asking for food and you have found candy wrappers under their bed.
I’ve dedicated my career to serving individuals and families to heal their relationship with food and their bodies.
My expertise is centered around eating disorder treatment and pediatric nutrition. In our work together, you’ll regain a sense of trust in feeding your body and creating balanced eating habits, no matter where you’re starting from.
All sessions are conducted through Telehealth. For teens (ages 13 years & older), they will have individual time separate from parent(s). For children (12 years & younger), sessions will be conducted with parent(s).
back to the questions
Yes! Recovering from an eating disorder is absolutely possible! Recovery happens when you’re supported and in relationship with others: with providers on your care team, with your loved ones, and with yourself. Recovery is a process that requires time, energy, and willingness to be vulnerable.
back to the questions
For infants, toddlers, & school-age children (ages 6-12), I primarily meet with parents/caregivers. Children can be present for part of the visits but it is important to have childcare or child-free time for parents/caregivers to be fully present during our time together. As we work together, we will determine if and when it is appropriate to have your child join in the sessions.
For adolescents, I primarily meet with your teen, checking in with & updating parents/caregivers either at the end of the visit or every couple of visits.
